I decided to return to a form of writing I started long ago. What you do is get a pen and paper and write down the lyrics then close your eyes, focous on a single thought and, using either your finger or a guitar pick let it lead you to string together words.

To explain what I mean, it’s similar to using a Ouija board with the exception that you’re not attempting to contact spirits but instead clearing your mind of all but one thought. With lyrics written down use something for a pointer to select words.
